after a long seating in the lecture theature for basic instrumental analysis..it was time for break or so i thot.. but it was not meant to be.. the pract that followed was pushed up.. which snipped off the half hour break which i was suppose to have.. boohoo...haha
well.. anatomy and physiology is not all that bad.. it was a short and sweet pract which consisted of urine tests.. for pregnancy and a guys urine was used as negative control.. and so on.. well it was kinda funny when it was time to "donate" urine for the girls..it was slow man.. everyone was "urineless" cos alot when to the ladies before the lesson..well finally we got our sample some how.. but i shall not go into details..
after our brief indicator pregnancy test..we proceeded to the show of the day..which consisted of the the protagonist.. the commonly know "tian ji" ..basically a frog..and it started with the gruesome initial anaestaesia process which ended looking like a "frog in food processor scene" cos the frog ust won get knocked out.. so my teacher was pourin in more chloroform and swirling the container..it was quite nauseating actually..haha..but it looked kinda fun..hehe.
after the frog is officially immobilized.. we pinned it on the wax bed and proceeded to explore the anotomy of the frog..and got to see wat our heart would look like if we (human beings) would look if we were brain dead..well our hearts have the ability to beat on its on "firing" system..and hence we got to see the forgs heart beating in a plte of saline..as we couted how lng it beated .. and eventually we kinda emptied the entired frog as in the entire abdomianl cavity is empty and so was the skull..it was pretty fun actually but i personally lost my appetite momentarily during the pract... ... anyways pics below(disturbing images..but you would see anyways.. so see at your own risk lah..)

the attention given by the students was nothing short of intense..(note: loads of girls in my class which means most pple look like they were goign to puke at the end of the pract..heheh:P)
eunice, the class rep.. scared until her hands "automatically" covered her face almost..hehe
esther (on the extreme left) looks like she was going to be sick.by the end of it.. she was giving that "i am going to barf kinda look" haha.. nah just kidding..but i have to admit the smell was kinda fishy..hahah
the "semi-decapitated", heartless, lungless, basically almost organless and brainless + rigor mortissed frog..hehe..

then after lesson i tucked in.. very hungry.. was ravenous man... it was strange but somehow seeing the dissection made me hungry..hehe
had lunch with c-lah and colin..but toobad they had lesson at two so i was left to rot...haha nah..
i headed to orchard to meet up with my big sista.. well one of them.. she was and still is a sista figure to me since my first job at the Singapore Science Centre..
So i heaved my ass off the chair and tottered down to the bus stop. i was meeting her for a movie... well it seems pple seem to like bat man alot.. today it was the 6th time i saw the show already..it was "fun" well the movie was good.. but it lacked the element of surprise..the most irritating was the recap scenes of that constipated looking boy (young bruce wayne) who look like he was trying so hard to cry but was short of tears kinda look.. the rest was kinda cool still..luckily this wednesday i was booked for initial D.. fianlly a change of movies..
well it was not all bad.. my "sista's" birthday was quite a while back and i hadn't gotten her a gift so i paid for her movie..in this case it felt alot better... then being forced to watch it the last time round..hehe
